“Jackson Pollock said, ‘my painting does not come from the easel’…and neither does mine. In my work I am exploring what abstract paint can be. I am experimenting with what color in space can be. I am looking at how paint can exist in movement.
I am interested in exploring how the dancer covered in paint can be the movement of a still piece. How the paint itself can be the movement. How it can cause you, the viewer, to be the movement. And how, as you view it, your interaction with it becomes the movement.
I paint on bodies, and objects, as well as on canvas.
I photograph those mediums to create a new one.
Everything you see is a canvas.”
